Iyengar Yoga

The teaching of Yoga according to Yogacharya B.K.S Iyengar is based on the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali through the practice of Asanas (yoga postures) and Pranayama (yogic breathing).

During a lifetime of intense practice and teaching, BKS codified and updated these techniques and defined with scientific precision all the actions to be performed by each part of the body.

His work guarantees a safe, correct and highly effective practice. Technical precision facilitates the integration of body, mind and intelligence. It develops deeper awareness and the homogeneous expansion of consciousness throughout the body.

This is BKS Iyengar’s enormous and unique contribution to Yoga. By practising Asanas and Pranayama in this way, we experience meditation in action and discover the true dimension of Yoga.
